What To Use For Oily Skin Screen

Do you worry about what you put on your skin? Do you wash your face regularly and still have an oily shine? It can be frustrating to not be able to control how much oil your skin produces, but even worse when you need to add more moisture to it.

One time when you really do need to add moisture is when you are putting on a sunscreen or sun block. These lotions are often quite thick, which is something every oily skinned person dreads. The thought of caking their skin with still more oil is very unpleasant.

Fortunately you can find oily skin sunscreen that is formulated to provide a light cream with the same level of sunblocking. This is a real relief, as you can now spend time out in the sun without having your skin feel even more oily and cloying than usual.

One of the good things about moisturizers that are designed for oily skin is that they often have the opposite effect as those created to add moisture to the skin. They sometimes have properties that actually absorb some of the skin’s natural oils, leaving you feeling fresher than without it.

Once you find the right kind of oily skin sunscreen you should wear it any time you go out in the sun. Of course, your face is probably the most oily part of your body, so this is the most important place to apply the lotion.

As a matter of fact, you don’t really have to opt for a lotion or creamy sunscreen at all! You can choose a type that doesn’t have added moisture and will therefore not contribute to your faces shiny appearance.

Some sunscreens come in a gel form. These are great for use as an oily skin sunscreen because no oil or other moisturizing ingredient is absorbed into the skin. Instead, the sun protecting ingredients are smoothed on the skin and only the gel is either absorbed or evaporated. This leaves your skin feeling much more fresh than with moisturizers.

You can also opt for a chalky type of sunscreen. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are both white powders. They are not absorbed into the skin at all but rather sit on top of it. This means that they will not add oils into your skin. Because they sit on your skin, they are better able to block the UV rays that would penetrate the skin. This makes these types of sunscreen the most effective against both UVA and UVB rays. Products that include these are referred to as sunblock.

You don’t have to dread wearing a sunscreen lotion if you have oily skin. Find one that is formulated for oily skin or go with a sunscreen gel or other type of topical sunblock for protection from the sun without added moisture and shine.
